Dear Humanities Kids,
I hope you have an enjoyable Labor Day weekend.
If you missed class, we completed the following:
1. Completed our discussion regarding Journal #2. Remember this young lady?
We discussed that you may not agree with her "artistic" choices, but what you must realize is that because she is content, and there are others who value her "art " as well, then WE MUST RESPECT HER DECISION! You will have the opportunity to look at many different pieces of "art," and just because you may not like what you see, does not mean that you should not respect the artist for creating it.
2. You were then introduced to the elements of design: COMPOSITION, COLOR, MOVEMENT, BALANCE, and LINE. We started discussing COMPOSITION. Please visit with someone else in class, so that you are caught up upon your return.
HOMEWORK:
None....Just make sure that you don't miss class on Wednesday.
